UCC Coffee: Europe’s Best Roaster?

Votes are now open for Europe’s most prestigious coffee awards and we’re pleased to announce our nomination for Best Roaster in Europe. Award winners will be decided by an industry wide vote, so we’re asking our friends, colleagues, and business partners to cast their votes at www.allegra-insight.co.uk/s/Awards2018 and help us secure the latest addition to our trophy cabinet.

This nomination is the result of feedback from over 100 industry experts, and research from Allegra Strategies. They have determined a shortlist of nominees who have demonstrated both commitment to excellence, and strong business performance. Award criteria covers everything from product quality and innovation, through to ethical practice and a commitment to industry development.

We’re delighted to be recognised for all the hard work that goes in, at every level, to delivering the best possible Total Coffee Solution for our customers, and our continued dedication to growing and evolving as a business.

Our flagship roastery in Dartford is already the pride of the company, boasting a 12,000 tonne capacity. And following a £2.5m investment into the facility in 2015 which saw the addition of a state-of-the-art Probat roaster, we’re going to build and expand our capabilities at the site this year. This will increase our capacity to 18,000 tonnes – as we continue to grow and develop alongside the coffee market.

The award winners will be announced at this year’s European Coffee Symposium, at Melia Milano, 29 November – fingers crossed.
