We’ll be on hand across the event serving our new Grand Crü Composition No.2 blend, developed with Master Sommelier Ronan Sayburn.
Ronan, and our head of coffee quality and Q grader Gayan Munaweera, personally oversaw the delicate blending process, using their combined knowledge to create a unique composition, an extraordinary coffee. The pinnacle of our range, each coffee in the blend is chosen for its unique character having achieved an industry SCAA International Quality Score of 80+, denoting the true speciality status of the green coffee.
Ronan Sayburn explains: “Wine and coffee are very similar. Their flavour begins at source from the terroir, varietal, altitude and climate, as well as the way it’s cultivated and processed. Gayan and I share similar passion and skills when it comes to tasting and identifying flavours and it’s been great working together again on this new blend.”
Gayan says: “When crafting the blend we consider the individual attributes of each coffee and how these characteristics work to achieve a harmony of complementary texture, acidity and flavour. Composition No.2 is a blend of four components: Ethiopia Wenago, Ethiopian Konjo-Limu, Guatemala Hacienda Carmona and Sumatra Mandheling Tingkem with a complexity of flavour coming from its refined, premium taste.”
We’ll also be showcasing the Black&White4c, the compact bean to cup machine set to revolutionise coffee in non-specialty venues, on a self-service bar at the event. The Black&White4c will produce barista quality textured milk, delivering 30 pre-set drinks to delegates at the touch of a button.
We will also feature the Aurelia T3 from Nuova Simonelli, through which our coffee specialists will serve the new Grand Crü alongside a new concept blend, while served as filter through siphon and clever dripper on the brew bar will be a new premium single origin White Label Collection.
